CMAF Open Art and Sculpture Exhibitions 2026 Entry Form
Please complete this form if you wish to exhibit in the Calne Music & Arts Festival Open Exhibitions 2025.

The exhibition and sculpture show will run from 2nd - 11th October at Marden House, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0JJ and the Calne Heritage Centre

Hand in day for the artwork is 10am - 2pm on Saturday 26th September 
Marden House (2D artworks) 
3D works and sculptures will then be directed to be dropped at Calne Heritage Centre after registration. 

Please allow time to queue and process information for the submission of artworks.
Please be ready to pay for your entries on hand in day. Cards will be accepted.

Entry fee : £5 per piece 

Artists can submit a maximum of 3 pieces of work each, either framed / canvas (ready to hang) or 3D or a combination of both (split entries across Marden House and Calne Heritage Centre).

Please write clearly to avoid mistakes in art catalogue listings / contact details / payments.

The preview will be the grand opening of the festival on Friday 2nd October at 7:30pm.

Artwork collection : Sunday 11th October 11am - 1pm ONLY (please do not forget to collect artwork or we cannot be responsible for its onwards storage)

Terms & Conditions 2026
The Calne Music & Arts Festival Exhibition is open to all artists, amateur and professional with a connection to Calne and the surrounding area.

3 works per artist can be submitted for display in 2026, (we will continue to review this number to allow enough room to display work.)
Any medium - painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, pottery, embroidery, etc.
All works must be framed and ready to hang, or if 3D works, they must be stable and safe to display on a table, sill or plinth.
The design or composition must be the artist’s original work. 
Artwork must be the sole work of the artist.
Works are exhibited at the discretion of the committee.

Please ensure you have clearly read all instructions detailed on this document.
There is a fee of £5 per entry payable on the submission date at Marden House, please have payment prepared.

Your check list Tick:

Calne Music & Arts Festival does not accept responsibility for any damage to works caused by poor or inadequate fittings.

Works will be included in the exhibition provided they meet the criteria listed above.
The decision of the Art Director is final.
If any work is rejected for hanging, the artist will be contacted on the number provided on the rear of the piece and will be asked to collect the piece as soon as possible.
Exhibition organisers reserve the right to reduce the number of pieces on display should they exceed the number able to hang in the given space.
Entry fees for pieces not displayed will be reimbursed.
No late entries can be accepted.
Works not on the entry form will not be accepted.
Selling prices must not be changed.

Insurance and Liability:
Whilst every reasonable care will be taken in handling and displaying artwork, Calne Music & Arts Festival, Marden House and Calne Heritage Centre cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to artwork, however caused. Artists are responsible for arranging their own insurance if required.

Personal Information:

The personal information supplied on the entry form will be used solely for administering the exhibition, communicating with exhibitors and processing artwork sales where applicable. Contact details will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to complete the sale of artwork or where required by law.

Private Viewing:
Friday 3rd October 7.30pm - Marden House.
At the Artwork Hand In Day, you will be given an invitation to the Private View.
Please bring this with you to the Private View.

After the exhibition:
Purchasers and exhibitors must collect work from Marden House / Calne Heritage Centre on Sunday 11th October 11am – 1pm ONLY
No works may be removed before the end of the exhibition.
Any works not collected by end of December 2026 will be donated to charity.
Please note that packing materials cannot be stored. Please supply these yourself when you come to collect your work.
Calne Music & Arts Festival, Calne Heritage Centre, and Marden House do not accept liability for damage to works incurred.

Sale of work:
The Calne Music & Arts Festival team of volunteers will accept sales of artwork on all days including at the private view on Friday 2nd October.
Buyers of art will be asked to pay a minimum of a 10% deposit for the artwork, a red sold sticker will be applied to the artwork label, and the buyer will be asked to settle the balance on or before Sunday 11th October.
Artists should receive payment by the end of October 2026. 
Payment will be selling price less 15% commission.

Please note that while every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of sales, the application of a red dot does not constitute a guaranteed sale. If a purchaser withdraws, payment cannot be completed, or an administrative error occurs, the Festival cannot accept liability or provide compensation for the loss of a sale.

Awards:
There is an annual Art Award, the results of which will be announced at the Festival opening, 2nd October.
By submitting work to the exhibition, you agree that your work may be automatically entered into any applicable competition categories and may be photographed and featured in Festival publicity, including on our website, social media channels, printed materials and in press coverage, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.  

Photography, Publicity and Copyright:
By entering the exhibition, exhibitors grant Calne Music & Arts Festival permission to photograph or film submitted artwork, the exhibition, and exhibitors during Festival events.
These images and recordings may be used without payment for publicity, marketing, educational and promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
  • Festival brochures and programmes
  • Posters, leaflets and banners
  • The Festival website
  • Social media channels
  • Press and media coverage
  • Future Festival publicity and promotional materials
  • Archive and historical records of the Festival

Artists retain the copyright to their original artwork. By entering, artists grant Calne Music & Arts Festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce images of their submitted work for the purposes outlined above.
The Festival will make every reasonable effort to credit artists whenever images of their work are used. However, due to publishing, media or technical limitations, credit cannot be guaranteed in every instance, and the Festival accepts no liability for any omission or error in attribution.

The exhibition opening times are listed in the festival brochure and on the website. www.cmaf.org.uk

The exhibition is organised and managed entirely by unpaid volunteers who generously give their time to support the Festival.
We are committed to providing a respectful and positive environment for everyone involved.
Hostility, abusive behaviour or harassment towards any volunteer will not be tolerated.

Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 
Calne Music & Arts Festival reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary for the safe and effective operation of the exhibitions. 
Any such changes will be communicated to exhibitors where practicable.
