Workshop on Internet of Things: From the Laboratory to the Field 15–18 July, 2019

About the Workshop:
This hands-on workshop is intended to share good practices on how IoT nodes can be rapidly prototyped to carry out scientific measurements. Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) solutions based on open standards that address the requirements of scalability, heterogeneity, security and complexity will be presented in the workshop. The workshop would be primarily based on hands-on sessions covering the below topics:
 Introduction to IoT
 Prototyping of embedded boards using MicroPython
 LoRa and LoRaWAN Protocols
 MQTT and REST
 The Things Network
 Collection and Visualization of Data

Prerequisites:
A basic knowledge of the Python language will be highly appreciated. Students should have dual boot systems (Windows and Ubuntu) along with Atom (https://atom.io) and the Pymakr Atom Package (https://atom.io/packages/pymakr) before the workshop.

Participants: 30 (Working and interested in the field of IoT and LPWAN).

Registration Process:
As the workshop is mostly hands-on, number of participants is limited to 30. All Interested should fill the google form (https://bit.ly/2L0oSqz) as soon as possible. The shortlisted applicants will get a mail from organisers for the online payment of registration fee. Once, the registration fee is received, the confirmation mail will be sent to the selected participants.

Registration Fee: Rs. 3000/- for working professionals/faculty members
Rs. 2000/- for researchers/students
Valid IEEE members will be given discount of 10 % on the registration fees.
