Propel Application 2019-2020
The Propel Program seeks to empower women students from any Northwestern school to be entrepreneurial in a field of their choice, from the visual arts to technology.

Stipends of up to $1,000 will be awarded to 10-20 "Propellers" for work on individual projects to be presented at a campus showcase in spring 2020. Projects can range from a news podcast to an art installation, a socially impactful civic initiative to a for-profit business idea.

In addition to receiving a stipend, Propellers will be connected with student and professional mentors during the academic year, and may be invited to serve as a Propel Ambassador during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST December 4th, 2019. The 2019-2020 Propellers will be announced in January 2020.

By submitting this application, you agree -- in the event you are named a Propeller -- to provide updates on your project, including information on how the stipend is being spent, in January, February, March, April and May, and to present your project in person in spring 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: 1. The program is open to full-time students only. If you are a part-time student who would like to learn more about opportunities at The Garage please contact thegarage@northwestern.edu. 2. You will not receive a confirmation of receipt for your application. If you don't hear from us within 2 weeks of application submission, please contact thegarage@northwestern.edu. 3. You may be invited for a brief in-person interview at The Garage on Friday 12/6 or Monday 12/9.
