I am passionate about supporting students to be lifelong readers and teachers to be dynamic, effective teachers of reading. I have been a member of NCRA for many years and believe in the work that you do. As a result of my leadership experience in literacy education, I believe I could make a positive contribution to NCRA and to literacy state-wide. As Vice-President I am interested in helping grow the NCRA statewide membership and attracting dynamic speakers for the NCRA Conference. I also am interested in engaging more higher education participants in NCRA--including professors and aspiring teachers. I will support the current NCRA leadership by bringing thought leadership, positive energy, and a strong work ethic to the board meetings.
