WHY?

Gigs are being cancelled and grassroots music venues are struggling.
Our artists are starting to do mini gigs on their socials.
We need ways to do promo appropriate to the current situation.

SOFATHON SINGALONG aims to turn all of that into a positive, industry-wide campaign in support of the Music Venue Trust #FIGHTBACK crowdfunder.

MECHANIC

Artist does an Insta / FB Live show from their sofa, 2 or 3 songs and chat, including about playing in their favourite grassroots venue, favourite grassroots gig etc, and how we should support them in these difficult times.

They plug Music Venue Trust and donations to their #FIGHTBACK crowdfunder. Artist can also include any other charity or fundraiser personal to them.

At the end of the set, artist nominates 3 other artists to do a SOFATHON SINGALONG - we'd encourage a mix of big names and local or up and coming acts they want people to check out.

Those three artists take up the challenge and we’re off and running.
