BYU Executive MBA GMAT Waiver Request
The BYU Executive MBA program's admissions committee will consider waiving the GMAT requirement for applicants with significant work experience in a quantitative area. We grant waivers based on information provided in this form as well as your Executive MBA application (essays, letters of recommendation, transcripts, resume, GPA, work experience, etc.).

If you do not use quantitative skills on a regular basis, we strongly recommend taking the GMAT as it can be good preparation for the quantitative rigor of the BYU Executive MBA.

You may qualify for a GMAT waiver if you have:
- Senior-level management experience with a demonstrated proficiency in technical business skills involving accounting or finance
- Senior-level management experience with a demonstrated accomplishment and success in your area of expertise
- CPA or CFA designation
- Degree and significant work experience in engineering
- Additional degree or outstanding academic credentials (PhD, MD, JD etc)

Please fill out the form below to apply for the GMAT waiver, create a PDF copy and then submit it with your application to the BYU Executive MBA by April 1, 2018. We have a limited number available, so apply early.

We do not grant waivers until we receive a completed application.

Please answer the following question in the box below:
Why are you are seeking a GMAT waiver? Include detail on your quantitative skills (accounting, financial analysis, statistical analysis, budgets, mathematical calculations, etc.) from your work or student experience and how often you are using these skills. If you don’t have a lot of quantitative work experience to reference, refer to your work history and things you have done that demonstrate your achievements in the business world. Please be specific.

Note: "Not having enough time to study for the GMAT" is not a qualifying reason to get a GMAT waiver.
