Competition Rules

The organisers will make fixtures available for predictions at least one week in advance of each round of matches.

All predictions for the round must be submitted 30 minutes prior to the first match in each round of matches.

*** Deadline extended to Saturday 6th April @ 4pm. Entries received after throw-in of any of the above games will be awarded zero points for that game.***

There will be no facility to change predictions once they have been submitted.

Predictions for round 1 must be accompanied by payment of competition entry fee of €20.

The organisers will publish a league table containing entrant’s names and scores as soon as possible after the completion of each round of matches.

Scoring system

• 2 points will be awarded for predicting the match winner, where the match does not end in a draw after normal time.

• An additional 2 points will be awarded for predicting the correct winning margin.

• 6 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a drawn game.

For knockout rounds where extra time must be played to determine the winner, the result after normal time, a draw, is deemed to be the result for this competition.

If one or more games in a round of games is postponed, the league table will not be published until all games in that round have been completed.

If a game is abandoned and is refixed, the result of the refixed match will be the result for this competition.

If a game is abandoned and not refixed, the result for this competition will be the official Meath County Board result.

In the event of a tied score, the prize money as set out will be divided equally between the tied entrants.

In the event of a dispute, the organising committee of Donaghmore Ashbourne’s prediction competition will make the final determination.

The committee’s decision is final in all matters
