Jones PTA Volunteers can choose which committee they want to help with, how much time they want to commit and at what capacity they want to volunteer. You can help lead a committee if you choose or you can simply be a part of the planning process. Take a few minutes to read over a few committees and decide which you may be interested in helping out with this school year. Please note if there’s any you may want to lead.

Jones PTA Voluntarios pueden elegir con qué comité quieren ayudar, cuánto tiempo quieren comprometer y en qué capacidad quieren ofrecer voluntariamente. Usted puede ayudar a dirigir un comité si usted elige o simplemente puede ser parte del proceso de planificación. ROOM PARENT: This committee helps their specified teacher coordinate classroom parties, organize teacher gifts at holidays/teacher appreciation week and collect contributions from parents for the Annual Bingo Night Auction Basket. This is perfect for people who enjoy coordinating with other parents and are able to attend classroom parties.

DECORATING COMMITTEE: This committee helps with teacher requests such as decorating classroom doors, laminating, cutting etc. They also help decorate for big events such as grade level performances and graduations. This is perfect for people who have some free time to go up to Jones during the day. Whether you’re creative or not, there’s always something teachers could use help with.

COMITÉ de DECORACIÓN: Este comité ayuda con las peticiones de los maestros como decorar las puertas de los salones, laminar, cortar, etc. También ayudan a decorar para grandes eventos como las presentaciones de cada grado y las graduaciones. Esto es perfecto para las personas que tienen tiempo libre para ir a Jones durante el día. Seas creativo o no, siempre hay algo con lo que los maestros podrían usar ayuda.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: This committee helps to grow our PTA community by engaging parents and extended family to join the Jones PTA. The committee is typically at school events in the fall to help boost membership. This is perfect for people who want to help our Jones Community grow and typically have more volunteer time in the fall.

COMITÉ DE MEMBRECIA: Este comité ayuda a crecer nuestra comunidad de PTA mediante la participación de padres y familia extendida para unirse a la PTA de Jones. El comité suele asistir a eventos escolares en otoño para ayudar a aumentar la membresía. Esto es perfecto para las personas que quieren ayudar a nuestra Comunidad de Jones a crecer y típicamente tienen más tiempo voluntario en otoño.

TEACHER APPRECIATION COMMITTEE:  This committee helps with either teacher appreciation events and stocking the teachers' lounge. This is perfect for people who love to feed people and enjoy making sure everyone is having a great time.

FIELD DAY / FUN DAY COMMITTEE:  The committee helps with the execution of these two huge events for our All Star students. This is perfect for people who can multi-task with lots of events going on simultaneously and be on their feet for most of the day.

SPIRIT STORE COMMITTEE:  This committee helps with selling of spirit gear at school events and distribution of spirit gear at school as needed. This is perfect for people who have an hour or so to give at random events and are comfortable working with cash and credit card readers.

SPIRIT NIGHT COMMITTEE:  This committee would help ensure each spirit night is a success by working together to organize, promote and get as many participants as possible. This is perfect for people who have great ideas to get people together, love good food and want to help build our Jones Community.

HOLIDAY STORE COMMITTEE:  This committee would help with the execution of the Holiday Store and working some "store hours" at the school. This is perfect for people who love the holidays and can help the students shop within their budgets. This committee should also feel comfortable handling cash and credit card readers.

COMITÉ de la TIENDA NAVIDEÑA: Este comité ayudaría con la ejecución de la tienda navideña y trabajando en la escuela algunas horas. Esto seria perfecto para las personas que aman las vacaciones y pueden ayudar a los estudiantes a comprar dentro de sus presupuestos. SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE:  This committee would help find sponsors and donations for our events, activities and Bingo Night. This is perfect for people who don't mind doing some legwork by reaching out to local businesses and want to help expand our Jones Community.

This committee would be perfect for those who enjoy coordinating with others and are not intimidated by big crowds.
