RULES AND REGULATIONS
The general rules of the competition are as follows:
· The event will consist of no more than 12 participating groups.
· Participants are allowed to join as a soloist, duet or in a group.
· Each individual can only join once.
· The performances can either be in the form of song, tazkirah (reminder), dikir or tausyeh.
· The choice of clothing for muslims should cover the aurat, and non-muslims should dress modestly.
· Any movements in the performance should be appropriate with the concept of Islam.
· Any groups that do not meet the criteria above will be deducted 5 points from their total marks.
· Mixed groups consisting of men and women are not allowed.
· Each group is allowed to be accompanied by musical instruments.
Below are the following rules for each individual performance:
· Each performance should not exceed 7 minutes.
· 2 marks will be deducted for every minute exceeded.
· Judging will begin from the opening greeting (Bismillah) and end on the closing greeting.
The following rules have been implemented for the content of each performance:
· The performance should be of an original creation.
· The content in the performance should be related to Islam and must be submitted with the entry form which will be judged prior to the event.
