Stephen Batchelor emphasizes that "nothing is permanent, perfect, or personal” as a
foundational practical approach to living a more
mindful and less reactive life. “This phrase encourages individuals to embrace
the changing and, at times, difficult nature of existence rather than seeking
solace in illusions of permanence or perfection.”
During this retreat, we will have the
opportunity to ask ourselves and discuss, “What am I perceiving? What am I
believing is so solid that it’s going to be here forever? What am I
believing to be perfect? What am I believing to be personal?” Open Heart
Sangha invites you to explore these questions through daily teachings, Dharma
stories, and a variety of practices to meet each precious moment of your daily
life.
Supported by noble silence, Dharma
reflections, and meditation instructions by Paulette Morris, participants of
all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Please join us in our
exploration.
