Thanks for applying to Arts on the Fly 2024! You will hear from us to acknowledge receipt of your application and when schedules are being set up close to the time of the festival.
Volunteer Info and Code of Conduct
- We are committed to creating a positive environment for all. All volunteers have a right to be treated with respect. Please also recognize the rights of other individuals by showing mutual respect and acceptance of everyone without biases based on differences of any kind. Remember we are using up a lot of space in the community, so please treat locals kindly, as well.
- The Arts on the Fly Festival acknowledges the event takes place on the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemc people, specifically the Xat’sull and T’exelc First Nations, and in the community of Horsefly, especially the Horsefly Community Hall. The riverside area is managed by the Horsefly River Roundtable on behalf of Fisheries and Oceans Canada who request that the vegetation not be trampled, broken or removed. Please help us take care of these assets and encourage others to do so.
- When you arrive at the riverside festival grounds, please check in to receive your wristband and voucher and to be reminded of the timing and location of your shift. You should wear your wristband while on shift and to remain on the festival grounds. The wristband is your pass and neither it nor your voucher will be replaced.
- Please show up at the location of your shift a minimum of 10 minutes before your scheduled starting time.
- Volunteers shall make every effort to fulfill the responsibilities to which they have committed. If unable to complete your shift, please consult with an AotF staff member, so a replacement can be secured. Failure to do so could result in your festival pass being revoked.
6. Please do not show up to your shift while under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances, and do not imbibe while on duty. Disregarding this regulation or failure to show up for your shift may result in the dismissal of the volunteer from the festival site.
We are very grateful to you for your willingness to participate in the success of this festival. We couldn’t do it without you!
MANY THANKS!!!
HAVE FUN!!!
