- Gather the city's many communities around a shared space with local food, art and music.
- Nurture the next generation of local entrepreneurs.
- Create a dynamic hub for Albuquerque's agricultural and artisanal communities.
- Promote the knowledge and preservation of New Mexico's heirloom crop varieties.
- Promote tourism by providing Albuquerque with a must-see destination in the heart of downtown.
- Demonstrate one of many potential uses for the Rail Yards site.

::Event Info::
Location: The Albuquerque Rail Yards, Blacksmith Shop (23,000 sq feet) located off of 1st street & Hazeldine
Hours of operation: 10:00am-2:00pm on Sundays May-October
Venue/Space: The Rail Yards Market was held in the venue throughout the Summer, and was well attended; ranging from 2000-8000 visitors/day. With roughly 23,000 square feet of space, the Blacksmith Shop will host 80+ vendors, and is almost exactly the same size as many world-famous public markets, including La Boqueria in Barcelona, The Source in Denver, and the Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles. The venue is NOT climate controlled, so please dress & plan according to weather conditions. There will be one Entertainment area that will feature a wide variety of acts including community groups, dancers, solo and group musicians.

Would you like to be part of the Rail Yards Market’s Performance scene?
We have opportunities for family-friendly performances including musicians, dancers, and entertainers on Sundays.
LOW-VOLUME + FAMILY FRIENDLY content is key for our selection process. We seek entertainment that is appropriate for a "coffee-house" environment, where vendors and community attendees can converse easily while music is playing. This is not a venue for large and loud bands, and we rarely book groups with back lines.
This is a juried process. Performers selected are those that are compatible for the event. Thank you!

Stage Time Slots are approx. 1 hour:

• This is a great opportunity to get exposure, tips, and merchandise sales.
• Songwriters, High School Bands, Choirs, Dance groups, entertainment of all kinds is welcome!
• There will be a 15 minute break between all sets
• Share your craft, and contribute to the community!
