This holiday season make a child smile by making small dreams become a reality. Through our Giving Trees Program, you can help sponsor a local child whose family cannot afford to buy presents. The Giving Trees Program is a collaborative effort between the Middlebury College Community Engagement office and H.O.P.E. (Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects). This year HOPE has asked that we target children in grades 5 and older. Since they are opening their holiday store in mid-November, we are also collecting gifts earlier than we have in past years. You can help by bringing your unwrapped gifts to the Community Engagement office at 118 South Main Street on Wednesday, Nov. 12th or Thursday, Nov. 13th between 9 - 4 p.m. NOTE: The initial deadline to submit donations to the CE office has been extended to December 01, 2014.
