2013 Homeless Census Volunteer Registration

Thank you for signing up to volunteer for Baltimore City's Homeless Census and 75 Journeys Home Campaign!

The 2013 Count will take during the week of January 28 - February 1 and serve two purposes:
(1) as the City's biennial homeless census required of jurisdictions receiving federal funding dedicated for homeless services programs, and
(2) as the City's first-ever "75 Journeys Home Campaign," which is a local initiative of the national 100,000 Homes Campaign (http://100khomes.org).

The 75 Journeys Home Campaign is a community-wide effort to identify the City's most vulnerable residents and connect the 75 most vulnerable residents with housing and supportive services. We need volunteers to:

(1) Administer surveys outdoors from 4 - 6 a.m. on Mon. 1/28, Tues. 1/29, and Wed. 1/30. (Volunteers must commit to all 3 days.) Note: Outdoor survey volunteers must be able to walk a mile unassisted.

OR

(2) Administer surveys at drop-in centers from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday January 28. (Volunteers may commit to 1 shift or both shifts.)

All volunteers will be required to sign a liability waiver and confidentiality agreement. Volunteers will be required to attend a 1.5 hour training session prior to the event. All trainings will be held at Our Daily Bread Employment Center at 725 Fallsway. An e-mail reminder will be sent to all volunteers prior to the training.
