Nelson City Council loans Zero Waste Event gear to assist event organisers, community groups and schools in minimising event waste sent to landfill. All loan gear is offered free of charge.

A variety of loan gear is available. This form is for bin stations gear loan.  The form for cups loan can be found here

The gear is suitable for all event types – from small events of less than 100 people through to larger events of 1000 plus people. There are 4 sets for medium/large events and 3 sets for small events. Please note the sets do not include wheelie bins.

All gear loaned is subject to availability.

IMPORTANT: If you collect compostable items such us coffee cups, plates, bowls, etc the only two brands that the compost facility in the region will accept are Ecoware and Decent Packaging. Please make sure vendors use ONLY those 2 brands. All other brands need to be landfilled.

There is foodware (plates, bowls, cups, cutlery) available for hire from Waste No More. A starter pack is $30, for up to 50 items plus cutlery. Items need to be returned clean and dry. Please email us: contact.wastenomore@gmail.com
