  Valid Cause of Absence Note
 CPS Policy states that students can only be excused from school for the following reasons:

✔Student illness

✔Observance of a religious holiday

✔Death in the immediate family

✔Family emergency

✔Circumstances which cause reasonable concern to you for your child’s safety or health

Please Note: Family vacations and family trips will NOT be excused. All student absences, regardless if they are excused are included in the school attendance percentage.
