Processing Foundation 2016 Fellowship Application
The Processing Foundation is excited to announce the first open call for our Fellowship program. We will select two fellows whose proposals extend Processing into new territories and work to bridge communities and disciplines. Projects can range from exploratory research and software development, to community outreach initiatives that diversify the Processing audience, specifically addressing issues of gender, racial, income, and/or ability barriers. Proposals should conceive a new direction for what Processing as a software and a community can do.

For more information, visit [http://processingfoundation.org/fellowships] and see the list of fellowship ideas [http://github.com/processing/processing/wiki/Processing-Fellowships].

Applications are submitted through the form below. Please note that for the Proposal and Development documents, applicants can provide links to files in lieu of writing in the required fields.

Fellows will be awarded a stipend of $3000 USD, at $30/hour for a total of 100 hours. Fellowships will begin February 1, 2016, with projects completed by May 31, 2016. The fellowship will take place according to the fellow’s availability within these four months, and can take place remotely, though the Fellow must be available to communicate regularly.

Application period is open November 16 - December 18, 2015. Selected fellows will be notified by January 22, 2016. Late applications will not be accepted.
