Lifewise is a registered charity and the only non-profit provincial organization created by and for individuals living with mental health and addictions issues. Lifewise' primary goal is to support and encourage recovery through self-determination and the realization of full participation in society for our members.

Since Lifewise' origin as a program in 1989, we have worked to create a safe place where individuals living with mental health and addictions can relate to each other, receive support from one another and learn from one another to live a full and rewarding life without the negative effects of stigma and discrimination.

To remain committed to the mission of Lifewise, our Board has at least 70% membership of people who self-identify as having living experience of mental health & addictions issues.
