Training Details (please read! It answers most questions that people ask!):
Attending a Roots of Labor Birth Collective (RLBC) doula training is a unique and radical experience. Many people have described it as coming home or life–changing. The training material is dynamic, community oriented, and designed by and for people of color: making it’s content culturally relevant for in hospital and out of hospital birth support. As a new doula trained by RLBC + ABJ, you receive rare opportunities in today’s birth work:1.) Hands of experience with skilled doulas, midwives, nurse midwives, and Reproductive Justice trailblazers2.) Support as a new doula via collective mentorship3.) Access to RLBC’s monthly doula circle (held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6-8pm)4.) A tentative, 6 month membership to RLBC including access to our network of birthworkers and client base5.)
