UK Cinema Worker Solidarity Fund
As more and more cinemas close their doors in London and Kent potentially for long periods. Cinema workers who are on zero-hours contracts need to be supported. These closures have been necessary steps in the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. All members of our team have worked in zero-hour contracts and know-how immediate and devastating it can be once hours are cut.

With the assistance of Violet Pictures and the Kent Film Foundation, we have started a fund to help these workers pay for immediate costs.

We’re focusing specifically on London and Kent cinema workers so that we can provide fast support to those workers in need.

The BFI has set-up a Screen Sector Taskforce which will potentially bring in a more stable solution. We aim to begin disbursing the funds we raise on 3/23.

For every £2,000 donated, we will be able to support five people with the equivalent of 40 hours a week at £10/hour.
