As is required in terms of Section 49 of the Consumer Protection Act of the Republic of South Africa we specifically draw your attention to each of the terms and conditions below which you, by signing this form, agree that you have read, understood and agreed to before the start of your stay or activity (adventures and courses):

FOR ACTIVITIES:
When I asked to participate in this activity my attention was drawn to this document containing the following IMPORTANT DETAIL:
1. Mountaineering (including abseiling, rock climbing, hiking, trekking, ice climbing, adventure racing and/or kloofing/canyoning) as well as Mountin Biking are inherently hazardous activities, often described as ‘extreme adventure’, which frequently takes place in wilderness areas that may be difficult to access and from which escape or rescue may be time-consuming, dangerous and difficult.
2. Mountaineering and rescue scenarios will expose me to many potential and actual dangers, such as extreme weather conditions (ie: heat, cold, heavy rain, strong wind, lightning), loose rock, rock-fall, degraded paths, wild animals/plants and other creatures, fast-flowing rivers, potential flash floods, slippery ground, contaminated water, paths which traverse or come close to great heights and other dangers not mentioned here. There could even be criminals who also go to the mountains - this is Africa! These hazards and their associated risks (which may be out of the control of the land-owners, land-managers, guides or instructors) could result in me being injured, killed or suffering a material loss.
3. Participation in this activity is entirely voluntary. I am not obliged to participate, and I do so of my own free will. However, I also realise that certain activities/excursions do have a “point of no return” and that I will have no option but to complete the activity/excursion.
4. Failing to carry out instructions given to me by the guides or instructors, OR consuming alcohol/other substances which might affect my mental abilities and may place my own safety as well as the safety of the guides/instructors and other participants at risk. I will not participate in any activity while under the influence of any such substance. The guides/instructors may terminate my participation if they reasonably suspect that I am under such influence, OR if I unreasonably refuse to carry out their instructions, and I understand that I will not be refunded. If such termination requires the entire excursion to be terminated, I accept that I might be held liable for any costs incurred, as well as costs to other participants on the tour/course.
5. I confirm that I am in good health and do not suffer from any condition which prevents me from participating in this activity or will be aggravated by this activity or will place myself or other at risk, such as uncontrolled epilepsy, severe diabetes, cardiac disease, uncontrolled anxiety disorders, renal or spinal conditions or other conditions to my knowledge.
6. I acknowledge that activities offered by Roc 'n Rope Adventures do not include swimming. Any swimming (in rock pools or swimming pools along the hikes that we may do) will be done at my own risk.
