Relief Cabins are for those displaced, either short term or long term, by Hurricane Helene. That displacement must be directly associated with Helene damage, whether it's complete loss of home or displacement due to repairs.
A Relief Cabin consists of a completely insulated building with heating, a generator, a composting toilet in a bathroom, and other items and facilities. Cabins will sleep either 1 to 2, 3 to 4, or 5+ people. They do not have running water and are powered by generator only. Continued costs must be paid by the recipient such as food, water, gasoline, and composting toilet bricks.
A lease will be signed after a background check and drug test.
Filling out this application does not guarantee use of a Cabin. Cabins are for both people still living on their priory or those who do not have private property to place the Cabin onto.
