Weedsport Elementary Intent to Register
As we enter January 2026, it is time to start looking for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year.  Families can sign up using the form below.  This is NOT registration.  The official registration packet will come out when this intent form will close.  Screening and official registration will take place in May. At this point we are compiling a list to help with planning.  To enter pre-kindergarten, a child must turn 4 on or before December 1, 2026.  To enter kindergarten, a child must turn 5 on or before December 1, 2025.  This form will be taken down and inactive at midnight on March 13, 2026.  

Only 36 total students can be accepted into the Pre-Kindergarten program each year (18 in each classroom).  If enrollment is above 36 students, ALL students who have an intent to register form filled out are subject to enter a lottery to secure a spot in the program.  In the event siblings are included in the lottery, if one sibling is drawn the other(s) are automatically accepted pending availability.   If there are less than 36 students with intent to register forms after the lottery date, then the spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.  After the lottery date, parents of eligible students will be contacted regarding the formal registration process. If a child is not selected in the lottery, and the family would still like the child screened, the school will conduct the screening.
