Data Visualization Society Committee Application - Events
Joining the events committee is a great opportunity to get involved in our growing community, creating a long-term vision for and helping to plan out DVS events.

Some responsibilities of committee members include:
- Attending most virtual events committee meetings (which are held every two weeks).
- Participate in the events committee slack channel
- Be a part of brainstorming and big-picture thinking related to flagship DVS events
- Evaluate conference speaker submissions
- Help out during conferences and events
- When bandwidth allows, volunteer for additional tasks associated with the planning of DVS events

The time commitment for a committee member will vary based on the proximity to major DVS events. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. All experience levels from any location in the world are encouraged to apply, including early career professionals.
