This application is for Groverfest 2019, which will be held at the above date and location. We hold our weekend festival once a year, this year being our 13th consecutive family friendly festival! We strive to create a family event with music, art and education for our participants. It is important to us that our workshop coordinators be in full understanding of the rules and guidelines when applying to host a workshop for our event. PLEASE NOTE- filling out an application DOES NOT guarantee our a workshop time slot.
Once Application is filled out, we ask that you send an email with 4 things to let us know you have submitted an application. 1- Your Name; personal, company, group (whatever suits your style)2- A short description of the content of the workshop*3- A short description of your education/knowledge on the topic*4- Tell us your favorite song!
*Your description and education info will be used in workshop highlights!
Groverfest is a juried event, which means we will review applications submitted before the deadline and make our decisions based on this. Once you have been contacted, we ask that you provide us with the information needed to highlight and promote your workshop. We will post social media posts about workshops, have info on marketing and need information for our MC. Our goal for Groverfest is to provide a community event that is celebrates our local and regional musicians, artisans and craftsman.
Groverfest provided one (1) ticket for a 45/1hour minute workshop. Groverfest does ask to hold a check or credit card information before the event. Groverfest will only charge to a credit card IF the workshop facilitator DOES NOT carry out agreed workshop slot due to personal problems. If participants do not come to workshop - you are not held liable and will not be charged.
We are looking for Educational Workshops such as:-Tie-Dye-Herbalism -Jewelry-Bee Keeping-Kids Activities-Essential Oils-Hula Hoops-Sustainability-Wood Working-Make & Take Classes-Etc.
Participation decisions are based on the following criterion: --The level of creative and artistic involvement by the artist/crafter --Whether the product meets current guidelines (handcrafted, etc) --The extent to which products compliment the Groverfest environment --Available space for new vendors, and vendors in like categories (such as baked goods, beauty products, jewelry, etc.) --Demonstrated qualities such as originality, skill, mastery, talent, or the potential to make exceptional work.
