"Out of Our Closet" is an annual event hosted each June by DigitalNeko (PMC/Skindex). It is a large, community-driven raffle of Pride-themed outfit designs for Minecraft skins. These designs can be contributed by anyone who signs up to do so! Starting June 1, anyone (including contributors!) can enter the raffle and be GUARANTEED to win at least one design made from the palette of an LGBTQ+ flag. This event is open to skinmakers of ALL levels and experience. Anyone can enter and anyone can contribute!

In terms of Minecraft skins, a raffle is when someone creates a design that anyone can enter for a chance to receive. Once the entry period ends, all of the names are put into a wheel and it's spun to see who wins the right to use that design. Though this event is on a larger scale, it works pretty similarly! To simplify, each design has a number that corresponds to it. These numbers are put into a wheel, and each time it's spun the number the wheel lands on is written down next to an entrant. There's a few extra steps taken to be sure that nobody who contributed to the event wins one of their own designs. Everyone who enters for a slot in time is GUARANTEED to win something.

We're happy to take designs from skin creators of all levels and experience. However, this year we're changing things up a bit. Have you wanted to contribute before but were worried about not being able to make a design that was "good enough?" Worry not! We're testing a system for OOC '24 where staff will sort submitted designs into two categories: Pride & Ally. Pride designs will be spun as normal, while Ally designs will be given as an extra freebie to those who'd like one. We hope this way everyone will be happy with their prize & newer skin creators will still be comfortable with contributing something!

Submissions MUST:

1. Be an outfit design for a Minecraft skin

2. Be one-sided (have nothing on the sides or back)

3. Be UNSHADED

4. Depict, be inspired by, or contain the colors of one of the following LGBTQ+ flags

5. Be submitted by 12:00AM EDT (UTC-04:00) 5/31/24 (May 31, 2024) 

Trademarks on the skin file are ALLOWED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

Each contributor may submit UP TO 5 designs.

Hateful submissions will be rejected.

If you are found to exhibit racist, transphobic, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory or disparaging behavior, you will be removed from the event and banned from contributing or participating in the future.

Event will run from JUNE 1, 2024 through JUNE 7, 2024 and be drawn on June 8
