Most of the time, the puffer fish is small. But if a big fish tries to eat it, the puffer puffs up. Its body fills with water. Spikes come out of its skins. It looks too big and spiky to eat. When the armadillo sees and enemy, it rolls into a ball. Its soft body is on the inside. Only its hard shell is on the outside. Most animals can't bite through the shell. They can't harm the armadillo.
