IMPORTANT: Please give us at least one week's notice before an event or requested date to ensure we can review our availability. Staff meetings are on Tuesday mornings, so please fill out this form by the prior Friday to assure we review your request in a timely fashion. Thank you for respecting our organization's capacity to respond. If you find yourself with a sense of urgency, please consider slowing down to build a better relationship with our organization.

Use this form to request interviews, podcasts, writing, and other media inquiries for the Somali Bantu Community Association of Maine or Liberation Farms, our community farming program.

Please describe in one or two sentences each: 1) how you envision collaborating with us, 2) what questions or topics you would like to cover, and 3) details about the finished piece of media and its intended audience. This is the most important piece of information for SBCA when we review requests.
Honorarium or donation
Please indicate what you are able to offer SBCA for our staff members' time. We will review all requests regardless of the number indicated here. We recommend a base honorarium of $50 per hour for each interpreter (those who translate or facilitate an interview with ESL speakers) and request that you factor in costs that may include travel fees and/or time away from work, children, or other demanding parts of a daily routine.

In-person or remote? *
Are you requesting to visit in person at our Lewiston office, at our farm property in Wales, or to conduct an interview remotely? Please note that many of SBCA's operations are conducted remotely at present. Our growing season at Liberation Farm roughly lasts from March to November, and the property is most active in the summer months.
