Aquinas College Commencement Accommodation Request Form
Aquinas College is committed to providing equal opportunity and access for participation in all programs, services and activities. Requests for commencement-related accommodations by persons with disabilities may be made by completing this online accommodation request form for commencement. Requests will go to both to Lynn Atkins-Rykert and Shani Feyen, and must be made by April 16; requests received after this time frame will be honored whenever possible.

This form may be completed by a graduating student who may need accommodations to participate in a commencement-related event, or by a student on behalf of an individual who is attending commencement (eg. a family member who is requesting accessible seating, sign language interpretation, etc). Either Lynn Atkins-Rykert or Shani Feyen will reply to your accommodation request by email at the email address provided in the form below.

Commencement will be fully live captioned as the ceremony progresses for those who are deaf/hard of hearing.

Family and friends who are ticket holders for the commencement ceremony in Sturrus will be seated in bleachers, as graduates and faculty will be seated on the main floor. We will also offer accessible seating on the main floor for individuals with mobility impacts who request this in advance. Commencement attendees who require accessible seating may complete the this form OR make a request for accessible seating tickets at GRADFEST on April 27. For each accommodated seating request, one additional/adjacent seat will be provided. Accessible seating is located in various areas of the auditorium for convenience of access to entrances/exits, restrooms, water, and assistance from AQ personnel, if requested.

The doors of Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center will open at 1:00 pm. Please remember that TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY. Those with accessible seating tickets will be able to enter at 12:30 pm. Please see the Ticket Policy sheet for further details. Reserved accessible seats not claimed by 1:45 pm will be forfeited.
