All Goldsmiths students are welcome to participate in the FREE club taster sessions and trials at the start of the academic year! Students who wish to participate in any sports related activity with a Goldsmiths Students’ Union sports club, without purchasing a membership must sign this Liability Waiver & Agreement form to be eligible to participate.

*If you are certain you want to join a sports club and know which membership type you wish to purchase, you can purchase a membership on our website (www.goldsmithssu.org) and this will give you full cover under our sports insurance policy. All membership types are covered.

Liability Waiver & Agreement

All students are expected to conduct a self-assessment of their physical activity readiness to ensure you are in good general health to take part in your chosen activity. If you are unsure, please consult your doctor or local GP before taking part in any physical activity.

By signing this agreement, the participant assumes all risks inherent in these activities associated with the given sports club, and accepts full responsibility for all damages or injuries of any kind. The participant should be aware that reasonable care and supervision will be exercised by the clubs coach or instructor and club committee for the given activity to ensure the taster session/trial/friendly match is conducted in a safe and suitable environment and will provide for the participants general well-being.

Agreement

As a condition of my participation in named activity/sports club at Goldsmiths University (Students Union), without having full club membership (and therefore related insurance) of belonging to the club of Goldsmiths, University of London, and the use of the university’s and club's facilities in connection, I agree and acknowledge that the trustees, officers, agents and staff, coaches and club committee members of Goldsmiths, University of London and/or Goldsmiths Student Union will have no legal liability to me or to my heirs or legal representatives as a result of any loss, injury, or damage (including death) incurred or suffered by me in connection with such participation. In addition my use of equipment and facilities of specified activity, I hereby expressly waive all rights, claims, causes of action and the like, of any nature whatsoever, which I or my heirs or legal representatives may have against Goldsmiths University or Goldsmiths Students’ Union in connection with my participation in club sport activity at Goldsmiths, University of London.
