Girls' Input for Civic and Political Engagement Strategy
Led by the State Department's Office of Global Women's Issues, the State Department and the United States Agency for International Development are developing a comprehensive strategy on strengthening the participation of adolescent girls in democracy, human rights, and governance as part of the Advancing Women’s and Girls’ Civic and Political Leadership Initiative. Acknowledging that girls are the experts of their own lives and unique needs, please provide input on current gaps in civic and political participation, examples of girls' successful civic and political participation, and any other thoughts or suggestions for this strategy.
