The NSBE Professional Development Conference (PDC) is designed to create a learning environment for attendees. Participants can expect to gain valuable development and career access information to elevate their careers. Sessions are designed to provide value to professionals at any career level. Topics to be covered at the conference include leadership, interpersonal skills, project management, and specific technical subjects of interest to our members and community .

Quality workshops are pivotal to our programming, and we are excited that you are interested in facilitating a workshop at this year's Professional Development Conference.

Proposal Tips and Guidelines:
Workshops are 1-hour and 15-minutes in length. Successful presenters will:
- Have firsthand experience with their topic and understand their audience;
- Provide timely and relevant information that can be put into immediate use;
- Engage participants in an activity or hands-on learning;
- Provide clear and useful handouts for workshop attendees; and
- Provide effective strategies

How to Apply:
All submissions must include all the information requested. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. The submission deadline is July 14, 2017. Notification letters will be sent to the primary presenter via email on August 1, 2017. If selected to present, then you will also receive a Speakers Agreement form to be returned by August 15, 2017. Please note that NSBE will not be responsible for travel and lodging expenses including registration cost.
