aftrART Survey: Early-Career/Student Artists
Thanks for taking the time to fill out this survey!

If you're a student, recent graduate (<5 years out of an undergraduate program), or are a self-taught artist, I want to hear your thoughts! My main goal for aftrART is to develop practical resources and information that will help you achieve your creative goals. But before I can do that, I need to understand you'd find most useful.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for me once you've completed the survey, please feel free to email me at

A few other things before you get started:

You'll notice that I use "art/arts" frequently, but I want to make sure you're aware that I'm using these terms loosely to keep the survey consistent. In this case, I want you to think of those terms as encompassing a multitude of creative disciplines, including design, music, writing and more.

If you're an educator, teaching artist, graduate student with teaching experience, or hold a masters or doctorates degree in an creative/arts-related field, please go to for the "Arts Educator" survey. Thank you!

To get start, can you tell me more about your education and creative practice?
What is your current level of education? *
If you're pursuing or have completed a post-secondary program, please specify the degree and concentration(example: Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography)
