First, read the following information carefully to determine what you will need to complete your Lesson Plan. Then download the Lesson Plan Template and start creating your plan. When your lesson is complete, save the template as a PDF and return to this form to submit your responses and attachments as requested.

STIPEND
Teachers who successfully submit all required materials within one month from the date of the event will be considered for the stipend. Lesson Plans must include the following criteria:

1) Demonstrates excellence in student engagement, content, and/or use of technology.
2) Relates to the content, techniques, tips, or training provided at the event you attended.
3) Features PBS, NPR, and/or Prairie Public resources as a significant part of the lesson.
4) Contains arts or cultural heritage learning objectives, either as the main subject matter or as a supplemental cross-curricular activity. *

A $75 stipend will be awarded to select Lesson Plans based on the above criteria. A limited number of stipends will be given, based on the quality of the lesson plan. Those teachers selected to receive the stipend will be notified no later than two months from the date of the event. Please make sure the address you list is where you would like to receive the stipend, should your lesson be chosen.

MASTER TEACHER AWARD
Prairie Public Education Services will choose one teacher from a series of Prairie Public Education Services events to be considered for the Master Teacher Award. This award will be based on an exceptional Lesson Plan which, in addition to meeting the criteria above, also reflects a creative, innovative use of PBS materials, and includes new knowledge, skills, or techniques inspired by the event you attended.

The Master Teacher will earn a $150 stipend and will be publicly recognized for their excellence through various media platforms. These teachers will also be considered for additional partnership and professional development opportunities with Prairie Public Education Services.
