Thank you for becoming a member of Save Scorton Lakes (SSL). SSL are a group opposed to any building development around Scorton Lakes Nature Reserve. Our aim is the long term preservation of the site for nature, wildlife and leisure access for all.
What does being a member of SSL mean?
There are no binding obligations on you as a member of SSL and membership is entirely free. You can vote, if you wish, at the annual meeting.
From time to time, we will keep you updated primarily by e-mail, on the activities of SSL in response to any building development around the lakes. Of course you can opt-out of such updates.
Should you wish to get involved in any activities, or support us in other ways, we would be very grateful.
Why is your membership important to the lakes?
Having a membership community means we can tangibly demonstrate the strength of feeling against any building development and also underline the level of support locally for protecting the lakes for nature and public access for all for many years to come.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. Information contained on this form may be privileged or confidential and intended for the exclusive use of the original recipient.
Financial donations that go to support the efforts of Save Scorton Lakes to fight the development would be very gratefully received.
