Para Hockey Events with Team Canada!
Join us in Surrey for three unique development opportunities led by Hockey Canada athletes and coaches. Whether you're looking to improve your skills on the ice or grow your coaching knowledge, there's a session for you! 

Some of the listed events require a SportAbility membership which is an easy process! If you're not yet a member, our staff will connect with you to help you get set up.

Athlete Development Session

Coach Development Session  
Date: Monday, September 21,2026
Schedule: 
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM On-ice coach development session
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Dinner and discussion with Hockey Canada coaching staff

Open Para-Hockey Try It Session
Date: Wednesday, September 23rd,2026 
Time: 7:00-8:15 PM (arrive at 6:30pm)
Location: Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex (16555 Fraser Hwy #110, Surrey, BC V4N 0E9)

Athlete Development Session
Date: Monday, September 21, 2026

This on-ice session is designed for current para hockey athletes of all ages and abilities who have some prior para hockey experience. Participants will work directly with Hockey Canada athletes and coaches on skill development, drills, and game-related techniques in a fun and supportive environment. 

Cost: Free with SportAbility BC membership.
Coach Development Session  
Date: Monday, September 21,2026

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM On-ice coach development session

Interested in coaching para hockey or looking to further develop your coaching skills? Join Hockey Canada athletes and coaches for a unique coach development opportunity. Open to existing coaches, volunteers, and players interested in becoming coaches.

Cost: Free with SportAbility BC membership.
Open Para-Hockey Try It Session
Date: Wednesday, September 23rd,2026 
Time: 7:00-8:15 PM (arrive at 6:30pm)

This beginner-friendly session is open to all ages and abilities, whether you're stepping onto the ice for the first time or simply curious to learn more about para hockey. Participants will have the opportunity to try the sport, develop new skills, and meet some of Canada's top para hockey athletes.

Cost: Free, no membership required.
