Yes, I would love to join the Fairfield Pollinator Pathway! I pledge to support and protect pollinators by using native plants, refraining from the use of synthetic pesticides and herbicides and helping my neighbors and friends learn how they can be on the Pollinator Pathway. Garden practices I will endeavor to follow to be on the Fairfield Pollinator Pathway include (you should strive to do them all): *

1. Have a sequence of blooms from spring to fall, especially native host plants for caterpillars and provide pollinator favorites that are rich in nectar and pollen (see www.pollinator-pathway.org for helpful lists)

2. Have a water feature, e.g. bird bath, fountain, natural source (Be sure water is running or clean and refresh water at least once a week)

3. Use organic practices properly, such as compost and avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or treated mulch

4. Garden like Mother Nature: leave the leaves to provide shelter and food throughout the winter, add a soft landing, do a minimal garden clean up in the spring after 3 consecutive days of 55F weather

5. Turn my lights off at night and/or use motion sensor lights to protect nocturnal flora and fauna activities
