At Wabash Friends, we believe in taking our faith "beyond our walls" by offering missional opportunities that impact locally, nationally, and globally. Whether serving right here in Wabash, partnering with ministries across the nation, or supporting missions around the world, we strive to live out God's love in action. Below are the following missional opportunities we are highlighting this year:
LOCAL
Serving the "BABE in Toyland" initiative
Join us in making a meaningful difference this Christmas by serving through Babe in Toyland, an initiative that provides Christmas gifts to children in need across Wabash County. We need 20-30 volunteers to help with set-up on December 14 from 9:00 AM until completion, and volunteers to help distribute toys on December 17 and 18 (more details on timing forthcoming). Your involvement will help ensure that struggling families can give their children a joyful holiday experience. Whether you donate toys or volunteer your time, your efforts will bring hope and happiness to local families, making the holiday season brighter for many.
NATIONAL
International House Camp
Join us for International House Camp from June 9-13, where we'll build relationships with migrant and refugee children in Fort Wayne. Volunteers are needed for the full week, with roles ranging from supervising activities to leading small groups. Sign up today to help facilitate camp and experience the joy of serving the nations close to home!
Joni & Friends Family Retreat
Experience a life-changing week by serving at the Joni & Friends Family Retreat from June 8-13, 2025, where you'll serve as a buddy to a camper with disabilities or assist in various camp activities. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, with a cost of $535 per person, and fundraising opportunities are available. The purpose of the retreat is to create a Christ-centered environment that supports families navigating the challenges of disability, offering them love, dignity, and care.
GLOBAL
