Let's Collaborate to Shape Transparency and Accountability in Olympia's Law Enforcement

The City of Olympia is actively seeking 8-10 individuals who are deeply connected to our community and genuinely committed to fostering trust between law enforcement and residents. We invite you to join us in a collaborative effort alongside Olympia's Social Justice and Equity Commission and Police Department. Together, we will co-design effective measures to ensure police accountability, aligned with our community's values and diverse needs.

Seeking Community Co-Designers With:

  • Diverse background and perspectives, including but not limited to people of color, indigenous people, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, low-income and unhoused individuals.
  • Varied personal encounters with Olympia law enforcement including positive and/or negative experiences.
  • An interest in partnering with policymakers, police officers and city officials to design accountability models and promote transparency and trust in Olympia's law enforcement.
