Application for Attendance to the MacDonald Cup 
Please complete all information and forward requested documents below and deposit as noted. The MacDonald Cup will be played August 7-11th at the Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks, Alberta hosted by the Chaos Jr B Lacrosse Club. There will be 8 teams with two pools of 4, with all teams getting 5 games. You will play one game per day, during one of the daily game slots 10am, 1pm, 4pm, & 7pm. Teams being considered to attend are from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The cost will be $2,500 per team, with a required deposit of $500 at time of application and includes:
  • 5 games guaranteed (for top 6 teams)
  • New arena with video scoreboard, lots of free parking
  • Free live streaming with play-by-play
  • Website with live stats
  • Game MVP and tournament awards
  • Event merchandise available
  • Designated dressing room in arena ( under negotiations)
  • On-site photographer for team and individual photos
The long term goal of this event is to become a Western Canadian Championship event with hosting locations changing each year. This will give entry level junior players the opportunity to play in a Championship event to align with National junior events like the Founders and Minto Cups. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2024.

If you do not get accepted to the event you will receive your deposit back. If you get accepted to attend full payment will be required and no refunds will be issued after this confirmation date.

TEAM & PLAYER QUALIFICATIONS
A tournament rules committee will advise of specific rules for players and teams to qualify to attend. This will be sent to teams during the application process. These will include items like a limit of B1 games played up during the season, qualified players that can be added to your roster from other teams like national events. 

We understand that there will be specific player qualifications that will be in place, and other specific team qualifications, code of conduct sign-offs, etc., we will need to follow for eligibility to attend.

UNDERSTANDING CONFIRMATION:
I understand by applying to attend and submitting a deposit, our team is not automatically accepted. A selection committee will evaluate all applications and select 8 to attend. An announcement of teams will be April 30th. Deposits will be returned to any teams not selected.
