Volunteering at The Two Gentlemen of Verona

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s Free Shakespeare on the Common Production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Volunteer responsibilities include passing out playbills, setting up and breaking down chairs and tents, selling merchandise, collecting surveys, cleaning up at the end of the night, and performing other duties assigned by our House Management Staff.

For each performance volunteers are expected to arrive TWO HOURS prior to showtime to help prepare the performance site.
• Performances beginning at 7:00 p.m. require a 5:00 p.m. arrival
• Performances beginning at 8:00 p.m. require a 6:00 p.m. arrival
• Performances beginning at 8:30 p.m. require a 6:30 p.m. arrival

There also will be two matinee performances:
• The performance on July 18th beginning at 1:00 p.m. requires a 11:00 a.m. arrival
• The performance on July 27th beginning at 2:00 p.m. requires a 12:00 p.m. arrival

Special Notes:
We advise volunteers to wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes and layers as it can get chilly once the sun goes down.

A special t-shirt will be given to each volunteer at the performance. Individuals who are volunteering at multiple performances will only receive one t-shirt.

Volunteers should be comfortable being on their feet and may occasionally be lifting objects of less than 20 pounds.

Volunteers are also eligible for discounts on CSC merchandise.
