VII. References

Three recommendation letters must be submitted for each applicant to be considered for candidacy. It is the applicant's responsibility to contact the reference and request a recommendation be submitted. Letters should describe the applicant’s potential as a future community leader and how the applicant’s leadership will benefit the Global Shapers Community and local region. At least one of the three references must be from a professional relation (IE: boss or colleague). Reference writers must email letters directly to Minneapolis Hub Membership Committee via minneapolis@globalshapers.org.

VIII. Applicant Commitment

I understand that joining the Global Shapers Community is not an award but a commitment to improving the community. While I stand to benefit a great deal from joining the Global Shapers, I affirm that as a Minneapolis Global Shaper, I will act in the interest of the community and strive to be a collaborative, community-driven leader. I will devote the time and resources necessary – an average of 15 hours minimum per month – to support Minneapolis Hub and the Global Shapers Community’s objectives of community engagement and improving the state of the world. I understand that if I am accepted into the Minneapolis Hub, I am expected to attend the Hub Retreat tentatively set for May 29-31.
