Are you a young entrepreneur in the Southern African region who wants to grow your business, network with other innovators, and learn how the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) can boost youth entrepreneurship in Africa? If yes, then you are invited to apply for the SADC Youth Business Forum, a three-day event that will take place from 24 to 26 November 2023.
The Southern Africa Youth Business Forum is a partnership between Zimbabwe Youth Chamber of Commerce and different youth-led organisations and private players in SADC and is co-funded by the European Union 🇪🇺. The forum will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, B2G, and business-to-business meetings on topics such as:
- The opportunities and challenges of AfCFTA for youth entrepreneurship
- The role of PPPs in accelerating the implementation of the AfCFTA?
- The access to finance and markets for youth-led businesses
- The skills development and capacity building for youth entrepreneurs
- The policy and regulatory frameworks for enabling youth entrepreneurship
To apply for the forum, please fill out the form below and submit it by 20 November 2023. The selected applicants will be notified by 22 November 2023 and will receive a confirmation email with the details of the forum.
Please answer the following questions in English and provide as much information as possible
Please note that the forum is open to youth entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 [45 years if you are a woman] who are citizens or residents of any of the SADC member states. The applicants should have a registered business or organization that is operational for at least one year and has a potential to scale up and benefit from the AfCFTA. The applicants should also have a valid passport and be able to travel to Zimbabwe for the forum.
NB: This event is self-funded, the forum will not sponsor accommodation expenses for attendees.
