Signing up for the photowalk does not mean you have to join, but by signing up gives me a way to send out updates and possibly polls for the photowalk, so we can make sure that as many that want can attend and serve as a reminder. Also by providing me with your cabin # I can contact you during the cruise if we have any changes in the plans for the photowalk (change of date, time or meeting location) or we end up adding another walk.
What is a photowalk ?
Basically we meet up to walk around to take pictures of the ship, sunset or sunrise. Photowalk leader will try to schedule best time and plot out a trail that has numerous interesting photo opportunities and help point some out.
Why should you attend?
Often the group end up having 2 or more skilled photographers that would be more than happy to help you improve your photography, providing ideas of photo subjects, framing, camera settings etc to push your photography to the next level.
Besides if your a passionate photographer it's always fun to meet other like minded to share ideas with and get new ideas from and maybe even get a chance to geek out and check out some other cool camera equipment.
About Me!
I'm very passionate about photography, and a fairly decent photographer (if I get to say so myself) and I love helping others out. During the EBTA 2013 I lead 2 photowalks, one sunset and one sunrise. We where 8-10 people on each walk and I think we all came back with some pretty decent pictures, even if the skies didn't want to show us their very best. This wasn't my first photowalk but that was my first photowalk on a Cruise Ship and I think I manage to schedule the walks fairly decently months in advance to ensure we didn't miss the sunrise nor the sunset.
