Alumnus/Alumna of the year
Candidates for Alumnus/Alumna of the Year must meet the following criteria:

1) Given annually to one or more graduate(s) in recognition of outstanding service and support of Washington Adventist University or

2) In recognition of significant achievement in their personal or professional accomplishments throughout their career.

3) Embodies the Spirit and Values of Washington Adventist University.

SGPS (AEP) Alumnus/Alumna of the Year (New in 2016)
Candidates for SGPS (AEP) Alumnus/Alumna of the Year must meet the following criteria:

1) Given annually to one or more graduate(s) of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (formerly the Adult Evening Program) in recognition of outstanding service and support of Washington Adventist University or

2) In recognition of significant achievement in their personal or professional accomplishments throughout their career.

3) Embodies the Spirit and Values of Washington Adventist University.

Zella Holbert Service Award for Alumni
Candidates for the Zella Holbert Service Award for Alumni must meet the following criteria:

1) Given annually to one or more graduate(s) who have demonstrated consistent dedication to the service of their community, the public, their church or humanity through their personal and/or their professional life.

2) Embraces and embodies the Washington Adventist University commitment to service and the other values of the university.

3) Must be a graduate of WAU or its predecessor institutions

Who would you like to nominate for the Zella Holbert Service Award for Alumni?

Young Alumnus/Alumna of the Year
Candidates for the Young Alumni of the Year Award must meet the following criteria:

1) Given annually to one or more graduate(s) who have demonstrated excellence in their professional field and/or embraced and embodied the WAU value of service to their community, humanity, or the university.

2) Embodies the Spirit and Values of Washington Adventist University.

3) Must be a graduate of the last 15 year or is 35 years old or younger.
Who would you like to nominate for Young Alumnus/Alumna of the Year?

Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year
Candidates for the Honorary Alumnus/Alumna must meet the following criteria:

1) A friend of the University in recognition of outstanding service and support of Washington Adventist University and/or the WAU Alumni Association.
