I'm often asked for freelance and agency referrals, across a number of marketing disciplines.
On a few occasions, I've been unsure of who to contact or recommend. Most recently, a company looking for a US-based freelance PR person/small team with automotive experience got in touch through PRexamples.com. They'd contacted me as I've featured countless agencies and individuals on the site and wondered if I could point them in the right direction. I couldn't, which got me thinking about the audience I have.

***UPDATE 01/05 - I have been able to connect them with somebody that signed up and fitted the bill perfectly! That was within just 48 hours of this form going live on 29/04.***

I think I'm missing a trick that could benefit a lot of people - something that will turn what is, at the minute, a community and database into a useful network.
Having been fortunate enough to build a database of many thousands of marketing professionals through
www.PRexamples.com's newsletter and my various social media profiles, I want to create a network that is likely to result in giving tailored referrals.
I've created a form below to build this matchmaking network. At present, it's only for freelancers and smaller 'boutique' agencies (up to 10 employees), I'm afraid.
The idea is that freelancers and small agencies sign up to be found by agencies looking for freelancers or businesses looking for freelancers/small agencies.
If the response is big enough and the demand is there, I can use the data you give me to create something publicly searchable with real benefits to both clients and professionals around the world.
-----------------------------------------------
***UPDATE 19/05 - It turns out there was quite a lot of demand for this! More than 130 people have already signed up from all over the world and I've helped make a number of matches I otherwise wouldn't have been able to make without it. I have selected a development agency who've already started work on the site, which should go live in June 2014.
