Swanage Event Application 2019 - Form 1: Provisional Request
Please complete this form if you wish to make an application to use a site operated by Swanage Town Council. Your application will be reviewed by Swanage Town Council. An officer will respond to you once a decision has been made.

The purpose of this form is to capture enough information to provide you with provisional approval. Provisional approval is sufficient for you to advertise your event and to start your planning. Once you have received provisional approval you will be required to provide, depending on the scale of your event, a range of documents as detailed in the Stage 2 Form. Only once you have received confirmation of final approval from an officer of Swanage Town Council do you formally have permission to go ahead. We aim to do this at least 6 weeks before the event, although this is usually dependent on the submission of your relevant documents.

Note that all events, unless otherwise advised by officers of Swanage Town Council, should notify Purbeck District Council's 'Safety Advisory Group' before approval by Swanage Town Council.

This form should be completed by the Event Organiser who will be the single source of contact for all email correspondence.

Please note that any request to use Shore Road when it is open to traffic (October to April) will require approval from Dorset County Council's Highways Section.

The Council does not allow trading from the Hardstanding by the Swanage Information Centre except for the sale of specific items to support community groups and charities. If you are considering using this space for this purpose please complete a separate form which can be obtained from our website - we call this form 'Stallholder Application'.
