TIMELINE

Sep 15 - Applications DUE Sep 19 - Session 1 - introductions + Instrumental Q&A Sep 28 - Session 2 - Orchestrating for Hypercube with Erin Rogers (90 mins)
Oct 5 - Session 3 - Writing Workshop with BKT Education (90 mins)
Oct 7 - Early draft of piece DUE
Oct 8-10 - Individually scheduled lessons with Hypercube members
Oct 12 - Session 4 - Composer Whitney George (90 mins)
Oct 15 - Final draft of piece DUE Oct 17-21 - Individually scheduled composer rehearsals with Hypercube
Nov 8-9 - Premiere concerts (online)

All group workshops and rehearsals will be held virtually over Zoom.
All participant composer pieces will receive online video-premieres on either Nov 8 or 9.
Selected participant works will be performed on a live concert in NYC on Nov 15.
Composers will receive a complete audio/video recording of their work.

FEES
Tuition for the entire CubeLab program is $975.
Composers and performers who would like to attend only the Composition and Professional Development sessions may do so for a fee of $180.
Scholarships are available.
Discounted rates for CubeLab alumni.

V. Participation

If accepted, you will work with Hypercube to compose a new piece or rehearse a previously composed piece, for quartet consisting of: saxophone, electric guitar, piano/accordion, percussion. Subsets of this instrumentation are acceptable by permission only. Your concert piece should be submitted no later than 11:59pm ET October 15, 2025.

If your music is not received by the deadline (PDF's are acceptable), there is a chance that it may not be programmed. Pieces are also accepted sooner if available.
