Horsehair artist Jeong Da-Hye (b. 1989), winner of LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize in 2022 is inspired by the traditional Korean men’s headwear "gat" (갓) worn during the Joseon Dynasty, Jeong mastered the ancient technique of horsehair weaving and innovatively experimented with different shapes and patterns. She skillfully transforms loose horsehair into intricate three-dimensional forms, including vessels, sculptural objects, and relief wall pieces.
