Example;  Under the canopy of a 150 year old fig tree (still producing) you can dine in nature’s crafted little anterooms that have been decorated with tiny starlights, candelabras and exotic rugs and dine off fine china (that used to belong to Lady Holden of GMH Holden). The meal is all local – the fish and squid was caught that morning, lamb studded with wild garlic and rosemary and finished off with a sticky fig desert or fresh figs and goat curd. The Hannafords are incredible hosts, genial, generous, discreet. Best time to go – when fig tree canopy is at it’s greenest.
